Reading the map

What everything on it means.

The map is the main screen. Everyone in the space you are looking at appears on it, roughly where they are.

People

Each person is a circle with their photo or initial, in their own colour. That colour is consistent, so after a day or two you recognise people without reading the names.

A mood or vibe, if they have set one, sits with them. See Vibes and moods.

Places

Saved places show as pins. The circle around one is its radius: the boundary that decides arrivals and departures. See Saving a place.

Tapping someone

Opens what Circl knows about them right now: where they are, their battery if they are sharing it, and the controls to show them on the map or mute their alerts.

Switching spaces

The map shows one space at a time. Switching changes who is on it. Nobody in one space can see anyone in another.

Positions that look wrong

A position sitting still is usually somebody sitting still. If it looks stuck for longer than makes sense, see Someone's location is not updating.
