Inviting people
How invite codes work, and how to stop one being reused.
Every space has an invite code. Give it to someone and they can join. There is no approval step, so treat a code like a key.
Sharing one

- Tap the link icon to see the code
- Share it however you like
The code is not case sensitive, which means it survives being typed out, read aloud or sent in a message without anything being lost.
Who can invite
Anyone in the space can share the code. If that is not what you want, the practical answer is to agree it between yourselves: Circl does not restrict who may pass a code on, so a space is only as private as the people in it.
If a code gets out
Generate a new one. The old code stops working immediately, but anyone who already joined stays in the space. A new code closes the door; it does not remove whoever is already through it. Remove them from the space separately.
Limits
Invite codes are rate limited. Generating a run of them quickly will be refused for a while, which is deliberate: it makes a stolen account far less useful for spraying invites.
