Downloading your data

Get a copy of everything Circl holds about you.

You can request a copy of your data. It arrives as a download containing your records in a readable form, along with a page you can open in a browser to look through it.

What is included

• Your profile
• Your location history
• The spaces you belong to
• Your activity
• Pings you sent and received
• Moments you added
• Reactions
• Journeys and trips

What is not

Other people's data. Where a record involves someone else, you get your side of it. A space you are in is listed, but the export is not a copy of everyone else's positions.

How long it takes

Requests are answered within 30 days, which is the period UK data protection law allows. In practice it is usually far quicker.

Deleting instead

A download and a deletion are separate requests. Asking for your data does not start a deletion, and deleting your account does not send you a copy first, so ask for the download first if you want both.
