A journey is telling your space you are heading somewhere. A trip is the record left behind after a drive.

Journeys

Start one and the space can see you are on your way and where to. It ends when you arrive, or when you cancel it.

The point is the short gap where somebody is expecting you: the people waiting can see progress without messaging to ask.

Driving is detected and recorded with distance, duration and speed. You do not start anything for a trip to be kept.

Everyone in the space, the same as everything else. There is no separate audience for journeys.

Journey alerts are their own category in your notification settings, so you can keep journeys working while not being told about everyone else's.
